Online Safety
Technology and the internet play a large part in modern life for all of us, and we are aware that while young people can benefit significantly from using it to connect with others, pursue their interests and support their learning, it is also really important that students do this safely. There are lots of websites and resources available with information about online safety and we have collated and signposted some of this information below.
The following websites provide a broad range of guidance for parents and carers on a range of different issues:
- NCA's CEOP Education programme aims to protect children and young people from online abuse and behaviours
- Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) - Online abuse prevention campaign
- IWF TALK checklist to help keep your child safe online
- LGfL ParentSafe - Keeping your children safe: online and beyond
- Childline | Report Remove
We also encourage parents at CGS to register an account with Tooled Up Education, which will provide full access to their digital platform of relevant resources.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have concerns.
