Life Skills
Our ambitious, well-sequenced Life Skills curriculum focuses on the following three areas:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Relationships (a statutory component regularly updated within government guidelines) - a guide to what is covered for parents can be found below. A copy of our RSE and Health Education policy can be found here
- Living the Wider World
Life Skills promotes kindness, respect, and aspiration, equipping students with essential knowledge and skills for adulthood and careers. Our curriculum fosters resilience, empathy, and critical thinking across health, relationships, and living in the wider world, preparing students to thrive in a compassionate, inclusive society.
The Life Skills curriculum is evaluated regularly to ensure the quality and content of it is age appropriate and meets the needs of our school community. The evaluation involves the use of student, parent and staff consultations, local health related behaviour studies, student wellbeing surveys and government statutory guidance.
