GCSE results 2023
Students at Chesham Grammar School have received their GCSE results this morning and there is much cause for celebration after two years of hard work and commitment. Nationally, results have returned to pre-pandemic levels but at CGS, the top grades are significantly higher than those of 2019. Over half of all entries were graded 9 or 8, with 75% graded 9-7. The 9-5 pass rate was 98%. Headteacher Annmarie McNaney said, "Our students have achieved an exceptional set of results. They have experienced a period of unprecedented disruption during their secondary education and these GCSE results are testament to their hard work, aspiration and positivity. I would like to thank their teachers, who share my huge sense of pride today, for their dedication and for all they have done for the students. Thanks also to our parents for their unwavering support of their children and the school. It is wonderful to see so many happy and relieved faces and I hope the students enjoy their well-deserved celebrations!"
