Announcement

Dear Parent, 

As you may know, Progress Evenings until March 2020 were sociable events where parents met their child's teachers and caught up with friends old and new.  It was also an opportunity to raise money for the school library by offering the sponsorship scheme.  There was a table displaying new books to be sponsored and it was a great opportunity for me to meet new parents and explain the role of the Library within the school.

There are always resources needed for the Library and so I would be very grateful if you would consider sponsorship.  The list of books bought recently that are available to be sponsored can be found here.  The suggested amount sponsored is part of the price already paid and means that this extra income can be spent on more books and magazines.  The Parentpay and the payment option will go live on Tuesday 5^th April (and close on Monday 25th April) and you will see that you can specify the book you wish to sponsor and the amount to be taken from your account.  If you are spoilt for choice, please consider donating a small amount without giving a book title and this will be attached to a book of my choosing and I will let you know the title.  To mark the generosity of the sponsor, a bookplate placed in the book with the name of the sponsor, date and occasion.  In the event that you choose a book that has already been sponsored, I will contact you to offer an alternative. 

There is also a new option of contributing towards a magazine subscription. This is a development on last year's list as in response to student and parent feedback, we will be taking out more print and digital magazine subscriptions such as Science and Nature and The Week Junior which will be advertised through Canvas as these are confirmed.
