Halloween Silent Disco Year 7 & Year 8

The FOCGS (Friends of Chesham Grammar School) is hosting a Silent Disco for Year 7 & Year 8 students on Thursday 20th October 2022 in the main school hall.  We held this event last year and the event was really popular with the students.

We will be keeping children in their individual year groups and timings will be as follows:

Year 7: 6pm to 7:30pm                                                 Year 8: 7.45pm to 9:15pm

A Silent Disco involves children wearing headphones and selecting the music they’d like to listen to. There will be a separate ‘chill out’ area in the school dining room where pupils can purchase soft drinks, snacks, popcorn and sweets.

Tickets are £8 each can be purchased via Parent Pay by Monday 17^th October 2022. Please ask your child to bring extra coins (up to a maximum of £2) if they wish to purchase drinks or snacks. Water will be freely available.

Children may dress up in Halloween inspired outfits if they wish but it’s not compulsory!

Please note: The online payment process includes a parental permission statement - by paying online and ticking the consent box you are confirming you give permission for your child to attend.

Please advise your child that we are hiring expensive equipment for the disco and the headphones should be treated with care!

Entry Details: Children will need to enter via the dining room and will exit by the main Reception. Please bring your child to the dining hall entrance at the allotted time for your year group.  They will be signed in here (in House groups) and their hand stamped before entry to the main disco. No paper tickets will be issued.  The disco will be supervised by parents and school staff.

All children must be collected from the Dining Hall at the end of the disco.  No child, or group of children, will be able to leave without being accompanied by an adult.  Please don’t be late!
