Key Stage 5 - Years 12 & 13

At Key Stage 5, students follow a curriculum path that intends to develop academic excellence in students, with students learning the best that has been thought, said and written. In addition, students further develop skills of leadership, creativity, teamwork and independent thinking. The well-sequenced curriculum builds on the excellent progress made by students at Key Stage 4 and meets the 16-19 study programme requirements as follows:

Substantial qualifications

Students choose to study either three or four subjects at A level from the list below.  Some of our students who study three A levels also take the Extended Project Qualification.

A-level options subjects – Art and Design, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Drama and Theatre Studies, Economics, English Literature, French, Geography, German, History, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Physics, Photography, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology, Spanish.

Non-qualification activity 

Non-examined subjects - all students follow a programme of non-examination Sixth Form Studies including Life Skills, PE, the lecture programme, and work experience. They then select from a broad range of options as part of our enrichment programme.
