what's happening at Chesham Grammar
Table Tennis Centre
Chesham Grammar School Table Tennis Centre, since opening it doors has become a hub of activity every Monday evening, and now Wednesday too.
Due to popular demand, additional sessions have now started up on a Wednesday evening to facilitate more local youngsters getting involved in the sport.
The centre and coaching is all led by Luke Miller and Jon Abungan, who give up so much of their time to help others enjoy the sport they love. On a Monday evening the full range of abilities and ages come along to the drop in sessions.
Recently the junior teams have successfully entered the Bucks Table Tennis Championships for 2019, where the Under 13 Girls, Under 16 Girls and Under 16 Boys all won the team events, whilst Alice Ray, a member of the Under 16 Girls’ team, also won the Individual, Under 16, competition, despite being only 14 years old.

In the same competition, the Boys Under 13 and Under 19 teams also finished as runners-up to cap a very successful day all round for the centre and the school.
Coach Luke Miller and the Centre have recently been nominated for awards at the Bucks and MK Sports Awards 2019, where Luke was a shortlisted person for the ‘Volunteer of the Year Award’, and the Table tennis Centre received a ‘highly commended award’ for sport club of the year 2019.
