Year 12 go 'To the Ends of the Earth'
Year 12 A Level Geography students recently prepared an assembly as part of the school’s character education theme, focusing on Simon Reeve as their inspirational figure. During his ‘To the Ends of the Earth’ tour at Watford Colosseum, the students managed to arrange a backstage interview with him. They asked about his personal journey—from leaving school with no qualifications to becoming a renowned TV journalist. Simon was open, honest, and welcoming, sharing insightful advice and personal stories with the group. Students also watched his show, where CGS received two shout-outs, making it a memorable evening.
