CGS A level press release
Our year 13 students have received their A level results today which brings to an end their school career. We are incredibly proud of them all. These were the first public exams the students have ever taken due to the pandemic and they have done brilliantly! Just under 30% of all entries were awarded A*, just under 60% A*/A and over 80% A*-B.
Headteacher Annmarie McNaney said, "during the last two and a half years, the students have demonstrated exceptional resilience, perseverance and optimism, all of which have been so well rewarded today. It is with immense pride that we congratulate the students on their individual and collective achievements. Our staff have done a superb job of supporting and guiding them throughout this very difficult period and I want to thank them for their dedication, professionalism and commitment. Thanks also to our parents for their unfailing support of and trust in the school. Together, we have created an environment in which the students have flourished, despite what they have had to deal with since March 2020.
This is a day for each student to celebrate. We have very much enjoyed working with them during the last seven years. We wish them the very best in what lies ahead."
