Ways you can help

Can you spare a few hours a year to help with fundraising activities?

The Friends of Chesham Grammar School PTA would love to have you on their team. Just a couple of hours a year is all it takes, or more if you can manage to free up a bit more time.

You can help in a variety of ways –

Register as a helper on Parent Power

Parent Power helpers are a database of volunteers who offer some of their time to help either during fundraising events, in the lead up to events, or afterwards.  Even if you can just help for 1 hour a year, it all helps. If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers please let us know.

Volunteer as a Class Rep

For Years 7, 8 and 9 it is still good to have class reps to co-ordinate events and particularly help out at the Spring Fair and the Yr 7 and 8 Disco.

Become a committee member

The committee meets monthly, usually on a Tuesday evening for 2 hours. We work closely with the staff and governors to provide additional resources and improve facilities through fund-raising.

Donations – Raffle Prizes, Auction Prizes, Christmas Hamper gifts

If you can’t offer any time then please support the school in other ways – have a rummage around and find things when we ask for donations.

Shop Smart

If you shop at Sainsburys, Tescos, John Lewis or Waitrose you could be earning the school “commission”.  By registering and buying shopsmart vouchers, every £100 you spend could generate £5 for the school. If your weekly shop is £100 that would generate £260 a year.

Corporate Match Funding

If you work for a company that has match funding you could be helping out.  We will help you complete the paperwork and most large corporations now encourage their staff to get involved. Please get in touch as this is another simple way to make a big difference.
