CGS Spirit on Track for Sports Day
Throughout June, students in Years 7–10 and Year 12 proudly represented their houses in a range of track and field events as part of the annual Sports Day competition. The event culminated on the final Tuesday of June with an afternoon filled with colour, music, friendly competition and plenty of house spirit. The PE Department was delighted to see so many students taking part and giving their best.
Parents were welcomed to the event and enthusiastically cheered on competitors throughout the afternoon, with every participant contributing valuable points towards their house total. Congratulations to Franklin House, who secured the overall title for the third consecutive year.
A huge thank you goes to the PE Department and all the staff who helped organise and support the day. Special thanks also to Mr Madej, our resident DJ, who provided the soundtrack to the event (available on YouTube), and to Mrs Wynne, who beautifully captured the spirit and energy of the day through her artwork.
