CGS selected for House of Lords youth engagement programme
At the end of the Autumn Term, we were delighted to hear that CGS are one of just six schools nationally to be chosen for the House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee’s youth engagement programme. The scheme is designed to give young people a voice and to provide committee members with fresh perspectives. Our students will have the opportunity to meet committee members in Parliament and to contribute to its current inquiry into drought preparedness and wider environmental issues. Baroness Sheehan, Chair of the Environment and Climate Change Committee said: "I was very impressed with the high standard of application I received from Chesham Grammar School. I look forward to meeting and working with the students over the duration of the programme."
