Sexual Abuse and Harrassment
We believe that all children have a right to attend school and learn in a safe environment free from harm by both adults and other pupils. We recognise that some safeguarding concerns can occur via peer on peer abuse and this abuse can cause both significant physical and emotional harm.
We encourage students to report any concerns they have to a member of school staff as soon as they can so that we can act on these and our response is outlined in our Child Protection Policy. This can be done in person, by email, confidentially using Tootoot or totally anominously using the online form on the student portal.
The DFE and NSPCC have worked in partnership to launch a new helpline if children, parents or professionals are concerned. Please find the details of this below:

All children have a right to be safe from sexual and other forms of abuse. The Government’s Stop Abuse Together Campaign is working to stop child sexual abuse, and offers support and guidance to anyone that needs it. CEOP helps any child or young person under the age of 18 who is being pressured, forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity of any kind. This can be something that has taken place either online or in ‘the real world’, or both. The CEOP Safety Centre has clear information and advice on what can be reported to CEOP, the reporting process and what will happen if you do decide to make a report.
