Chesham Grammar School artists featured again in the final exhibition of the Young Artist Awards run by the Buckinghamshire Art Society.  Former students Nicholas Phillips and Meggie Pendered were joint second prize winners and received a cash prize at the December award ceremony.

Nicholas Phillips was also presented with the prestigious 'Selina di Girolamo Award' for emerging talent in art.  Meggie and Nicholas were A level students at Chesham Grammar School, and are now at university.

More than 75 pieces of artwork submitted for consideration for the Young Artist Awards came from the whole spectrum of Buckinghamshire schools and the standard was as impressive as ever.

Chris Biddle, Subject Leader for Art and Photography at CGS said: "I am extremely proud of the students who all practise very hard, thier work would not look out of place in any commercial gallery space."
